What kind of IQ test is this?
A logic and pattern quiz in the style of the classic reasoning tests, built to be fun rather than official. It covers the areas most IQ-style tests touch: numerical sequences, verbal analogies, spatial rotation and deductive puzzles, all solvable in your head.
It is for anyone who enjoys puzzles: students, people preparing for an aptitude test at work, parents who want to see if their teenager can beat them, and anyone who stopped doing maths at school and wants to know what is left.

How is the IQ test scored and what do the levels mean?
Twenty questions, one point each, no time limit. Zero to five points is Logic Rookie, six to nine Pattern Spotter, ten to thirteen Clear Thinker, fourteen to sixteen Sharp Mind, seventeen to nineteen Puzzle Master, and all twenty is Perfect Logic. The result page shows every question again with the correct answer and a one-line explanation.
Because each round picks 20 of the 30 puzzles, a second attempt gives you a partly new set, which is useful if you want to practise.
What do the puzzles look like?
Nothing requires special knowledge; every puzzle can be reasoned out. A few of the types in the bank:
- Number series such as 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and what comes next
- Letter patterns like Z, X, V, T, where you must spot the step
- A shirt costs 20 after a 20 percent discount: what was the original price?
- A sequence of arrows turning clockwise, where you pick the next direction
- Analogies in the form bird is to nest as bee is to...
Does the test give me a real IQ score?
No. A real IQ score needs a standardised test, a controlled setting and a comparison group matched for age. This quiz cannot do that and does not pretend to. What it does give you is a clear picture of which puzzle types you handle easily and which make you slow down, which is most of what people actually want to know.
Why do people share their IQ test results?
Mostly to provoke someone. A Puzzle Master screenshot in a family group gets three relatives to take the test within the hour, and the discussion about whether question 17 was fair goes on for days. Students use it as a warm-up before exams, because fifteen minutes of pattern puzzles wakes up the same part of the brain that algebra needs. Job seekers practise with it before aptitude tests, where number series and odd-one-out questions appear constantly. Puzzle fans just like the explanations, which are short enough to read all 20. If you want to know how you handle people rather than patterns, the EQ test measures the other kind of intelligence.
IQ test FAQ
Is this a free IQ test with results?
Yes. The 20 puzzles, your score, your level and the explanation of every answer are all free and appear immediately, with no email required. There is no hidden paywall before the result, which is unfortunately common on other IQ test pages.
How many questions are in the IQ test and how long does it take?
Twenty questions per round, drawn from a bank of 30, ordered from easy to hard. Most people finish in ten to fifteen minutes. There is no clock, so you can think as long as you like, though the puzzles are designed to be solved without pen and paper.
What is a good score on this IQ test?
Fourteen or more out of 20 earns Sharp Mind and puts you above most players. Seventeen and up is Puzzle Master, which few people reach on a first try because the last questions mix spatial and verbal logic. A perfect 20 is rare and worth a screenshot.
Why is there no IQ number in the result?
Because a number like 120 would be made up. Real IQ scores come from standardised tests calibrated against thousands of people of your age. A short online quiz cannot do that honestly, so it gives you a level and the reasoning behind each answer instead.
Can I retake the IQ test?
Yes, as often as you like. Each round picks 20 of the 30 puzzles, so you will see some new ones and some you have met, now with the explanation fresh in your mind. Improving your score on a retake is practice, not intelligence, and that is fine.
Is the IQ test suitable for children?
From about twelve upwards. The early questions, such as doubling number series, suit younger players, but the discount problem and the letter sequences need some secondary-school maths. Many parents take it together with their kids and compare answers afterwards.
Does the IQ test work on a phone?
Yes. The puzzles are shown one at a time with four large answer buttons, and the arrow and star pattern questions are drawn to fit a small screen. A phone in portrait mode is the most common way people take it.
